OBP2.0 and CAOD

One of the occupation-focused assessments we developed is the Classification and Assessment of Occupational Dysfunction (CAOD).

CAOD is a measure focused on the classification of occupational dysfunction.

Occupational dysfunction includes occupational imbalance, occupational deprivation, occupational alienation, and occupational marginalization.

CAOD measures these four factors in 16 items.

CAOD can be used for people with disabilities and healthy people.

CAOD is ground on Occupation-Based Practice 2.0 (OBP2.0).

We developed OBP2.0 as a new theory of occupational therapy.

OBP2.0 had the two functions; 1) team management, 2) occupational dysfunction's assessment and intervention.

Occupational therapists cooperate with various experts such as doctors and nurses to fulfil a role in supporting the client's occupational life in Japan.

For example, OBP2.0 has been applied to such persons with the physical disorder and/or mental disorder, child and their family with the developmental problem, and older persons with dementia.

This model applies to resolving conflicts between team members' opinions.

Currently, we are writing OBP 2.0 theory book in Japanese.

The papers that can be read in English are as follows.
